The SET (Setting Educational Trends) School is located at Block-10 Federal B Area, Karachi(Pakistan).This fine powerhouse of education was established on 1st,April 1998.The school is currently under the management of Saran Educational Trust. The school started with a single campus with two classes (Nursery and Pre-Nursery) and only six toddlers keen to learn new things. In the beginning members of the Saran Educational Trust performed their duties as teachers. At that time milk and other eatables were distributed among the students for lunch absolutely free of cost. The SET School has maintained its high standard of education and learning which is one of its most prominent aspect.
As the years passed the number of students enrolment increased. The number of students rose from six to sixty. A computer lab was set-up to provide the much needed computer education to the students at an early stage. This was about the time when the school progressed till the third grade .A library was also included in the school building to promote "Book Culture" and the thirst for knowledge among the tender minds. During this period professional, highly qualified and brilliant teachers were hired, who are still present at the school performing their sacred duty of nourishing the learners with knowledge and learning. Each year a new class was added to the school was added to the school building with the ever increasing number of students. The students have participated in numerous competitions and contests whether it be sports, science, debate , academics or any other co-curricular activity . Some notable competitions in which in the school has took are Dawn Spelling Bee Contest,Health and Maths Olympiad at Agha Khan School,Debate and Drama Contest at Agha Khan School,Debate and Quiz Competition at Ghulaman-E-Abbas School and Cricket Tournaments with Kehkashan and Mid Asia School.The students have done exceptionally well and achieved distinctions in various(the details will be given later in this blog).
In the year 2007 the first batch of students was enrolled for the BSEK(Board of Secondary Education Karachi) examinations . All the students were enrolled in the Science Group. An already established Science Laboratory was extensively upgraded in a short period of time and some changes were made in the Computer Lab in terms of system up- gradation and equipment. Experienced and well-trained teachers taught the students with zeal and dedication throughout the year. Class tests and challenging exams were carried out which greatly polished the students. On 15TH ,April 2009 the students of The SET School for the first time sat in the BSEK exams and done a good job in all the Exams English ,Chemistry ,Pakistan Studies ,Computer /Biology and Sindhi.The results(details of the result will be given in the following posts)were announced after a long wait in October,100% result was achieved as all the students passed the exams.
In the month of March this year the students of the SET School have given their Matric Exams. This time again(Inshallah) they will raise the name of the school by achieving spectacular results.
